We also distribute titles from a range of casual suppliers and welcome enquiries from publishers, theatrical agents and theatre companies interested in our distribution service. Works for sale on this site may be available as print-published books or in digital format - as PDF downloadable documents or in some cases on CD ROM. We provide free extracts of scripts where available and don't forget our Library Passes, which provide access to the full text of over 1200 titles on this site. The material available on this site is protected by Australian and international copyright law. Before making copies of these scripts or performing a play, you have a legal obligation to obtain permission. Where titles on this site are sold in digital format, you can buy a Copy Licence to make multiple copies of your purchases. Production enquiries in relation to any play on the site are also welcome. If you’re looking for an Australian play to produce, you won’t find a more comprehensive range anywhere. Browse our list of playwrights or search for playscripts by keyword, target audience, play length, cast size, cast age and cast gender, or by publisher. You can also search play categories, browse featured play bundles or subscribe to our Newly Listed RSS feed.

Once you’ve selected your plays, we welcome production enquiries in relation to all scripts featured on the site. If you intend to produce or photocopy a play purchased from this site, it is important that you’re aware of your legal obligations with respect to rights and royalties.
Information for playwrights and agents
AustralianPlays.org assists Australian playwrights by getting their work into the hands of potential producers, drama educators, students, theatre makers and avid script readers everywhere. Playwrights and theatrical agents can use the site to distribute and promote production-ready scripts and keep up-to-date with the latest in contemporary Australian performance writing.
Playscripts featured on AustralianPlays.org must be either published by one of our suppliers or accepted in manuscript form into the catalogue of the Australian Script Centre. Before submitting playscripts, we recommend that you consult the submission guidelines for the relevant publisher, namely:
