Playwrights and theatrical agents can use this site to distribute and promote production-ready scripts and keep up-to-date with the latest in contemporary Australian performance writing.
Playscripts featured on AustralianPlays.org are either published by one of our suppliers, such as Currency or Playlab, or accepted in manuscript form into the Australian Script Centre’s catalogue. Before submitting playscripts, we recommend that you consult the submission guidelines for the relevant publisher, namely Australian Script Centre, Currency Press, Playlab Press or Full Dress Publishing.
Information for educators and students
If you’re looking for Australian playscripts for study or production, you’ll find AustralianPlays.org an invaluable resource. You can browse our featured bundles, or search our categories to find plays suited to a young cast and young audience. Our custom search facilities also allow you to search by keywords, categories, play length and cast size, cast gender and cast age and length of play. We also issue monthly bulletins with script recommendations tailored to the interests of secondary and tertiary drama educators.

Stock requests for digitised scripts are considered on a case-by-case basis.
