Many moons (and surprisingly few pay cheques) ago Jamie Forbes was the winner of the Bicentennial Young Playwrights’ Award for the drama ‘Sleep Easy Chill’, and was selected to attend the 1988 International Festival Of Young Playwrights for the comedy ‘The Incomplete Shakespeare’. Since then he has had many plays and musicals performed. He has also written for radio (‘Mister Jones’), television (‘BackBerner’, ‘Li’l Horrors’ ) and film (‘Blood Spill’). He has had several short stories published and also works as a journalist, reviewer (‘Metro’), cartoonist (‘The Big Issue’), script editor and consultant, and as an actor (‘Neighbours’ et al), songwriter and musician. Jamie has worked extensively with young people in the theatre and holds a certificate as a teacher’s aide and Level III specialist in Early Childhood Development.
