Heather Nimmo


Heather Nimmo is an award-winning playwright who also writes for film, television and radio. Her stage credits include The Hope (Playbox/WA Theatre Company, published by Currency Press), Mean Deeds (Hole in the Wall Theatre Co.), One Small Step (State Theatre Co. of WA, interstate tour, published by Currency Press, winner of WA Premier's Book Award) and Whispering Demons (Playhouse, Adelaide Festival Centre, winner of WA Premier's Book Award). Her radio plays include Fly In - Fly Out (1998 AWGIE) and I'll Write To Richie Benaud. She has written many plays for children, including Junk, Fossils, Gammer and Eat The Moon. In June 2002, Out Of the Blue, her new play written with Spare Parts Puppet Theatre, opened in Fremantle. Heather's latest play for adults, Banana Split, was workshopped at the 2002 ANPC Conference. She is currently working on Awa' the Crow Road, a linked series of stories of dead people, which moves between Scotland and Austrlaia and will be written in Lallans and Australian English.
