Lissa Benyon
Lissa Benyon began her theater career as a member of the Canberra Youth Theatre, and was a founding member of the experimental ensemble Fools Gallery Theatre Company. Lissa left the company in 1981 to concentrate on full-time writing. Her writing career was launched with The Women of March the First, performed at Nimrod (now Belvoir Street) in 1984. She has since co-written Resistance, a feature film for the Macau Light Collective; and written plays The Margarine Conspiracy, The Real Matilda and Pennies Before the Holidays.
