Andrew Bovell & Hannie Rayson

Andrew Bovell is an award-winning writer for theatre, film and television. His AWGIE award-winning play Speaking in Tongues has been seen throughout Australia as well as in Europe and the US and Bovell adapted it for the screen as Lantana. Both the play and screenplay have been published by Currency along with After Dinner, Holy Day, Scenes from a Separation (written with Hannie Rayson) and Who's Afraid of the Working Class?, written with Patricia Cornelius, Melissa Reeves, Christos Tsiolkas and Irene Vela. He currently lives in South Australia.

Hannie Rayson has established a reputation for topical, complex dramas written with wit and humour. A graduate of Melbourne University and the Victorian College of the Arts, she has an Honorary Doctorate of Letters from La Trobe University and is a Fellow of the Australian Centre at the University of Melbourne. Her plays include Please Return to Sender, Mary, Leave It Till Monday, Room to Move, Hotel Sorrento, Falling From Grace, Competitive Tenderness Life After George, Inheritance and Two Brothers. Among her many accolades, Rayson made playwriting history when Life After George was the first play to be nominated for the Miles Franklin Award.
