Duong Le Quy


Duong Le Quy was born in Hanoi in 1968. He graduated from the Vietnam National Institute of Theatre and Cinema in 1990 and Sydney’s NIDA in 1998. His trilogy of post-Vietnam wartime plays comprises Market of Lives, Meat Party and A Graveyard for the Living all published by Currency in The First Play Collection. His other plays include The Request of Spring, Samurai and Motherland of the Foreign Son. The winner of a number of awards and fellowships, Le Quy works as a playwright and director in Vietnam and Australia and has studied filmmaking in Los Angeles.
