by Gail EvansWhen Eris, the Goddess of Discord and Strife, is humiliated in front of her fellow Olympians by Zeus's refusal to give her a sip of ambrosia, she vows to seek revenge! Eris infiltrates the sacred beehive that creates the ambrosia and, on the pretext of giving them a 'gift' for their faithful service, she imbues the bees with human personalities and ensconces herself as the Queen's new adviser. Immediately the hive's harmonious hierarchy crumbles. The supply of ambrosia is cut off, Zeus is left high and dry, and Eris engages in a battle of wits against one faithful bee who struggles to save them all.
