THE FIRST SUNDAY IN DECEMBER

by Eric Scott

It’s TC’s annual birthday barbecue. He is 60, but officially 55. Recently his CEO ran off with his top salesgirl, leaving his wife behind. Unknown to TC, his wife has invited Gail, the estranged wife. Unknown to TC’s wife, TC has invited his former CEO and girlfriend. Chaos reigns as masculine egos flex and the drinks go down.

'Excellent medicine for the stressed executives who might see a glimpse on stage of why they are stressed out. I am always interested in Scott’s comedies, which are pretty close to those old British farces of mayhem, sex and underclothes.' 'Oscar', Brisbane Independent

'Scott’s script is filled with comic situations and laughs, with original spins on some of the perennial comedy themes of male rivalries, generational rivalries, female rivalries, male misbehaviour, female misbehaviour, and so on.' John Henningham, Stagediary.com
