THE CLERK ASCENDING
by Gina Schien
Bill Erdmann is ashamed of his strange talent—who wants to be condemned to a life of being hurled up into the air at the sight or sound of a trombone?
But his persistent new friend Andrew Jones sees it as a unique and magical gift. Jones is determined to help Bill realise what he has, while Erdmann is certain that Jones should stop reading poetry and have the sort of romance that he himself can’t.
Two people find the best way to live their lives and face their limitations in this absurdist comedy.
