THE JOURNEY

by Susie Boisjoux

A group of people are travelling towards what? To escape from what? In their journey through a fictional landscape they are afraid to see or hear reality. Two older women see the world through the guidebook . A sensuous girl threatens and seduces a couple who are weary of each other. The silent woman at the window sees and hears and judges them all. The play uses surreal imagery to explore the fear and humour of travelling and the conflict of using language as a tool to wound or for self-protection.
