SHADY CHARACTERS

Bernie Bone's imagination has run away from him. It's been happening a while - since his mum and dad split up and he had to leave the big house with the yard to come and live in the small flat across the road from the factory. Still, Bernie has B-Man, his imaginary self in his imaginary world where he can be anything he wants to be. So now it's the summer between primary school and high school, and Bernie's mum has taken him to the beach, where he meets Dot Dash and Nostril. Perhaps it's time to make friends again. If only B-Man will let him.

SHADY CHARACTERS is a play about games, growing up, changes, long hot summers, new friends and the power of the imagination.
