BLIND CITY
by Alex BrounA mysterious blinding light appears in the sky over Sydney. The "flash", as it comes to be known, affects all of the city's inhabitants in unexpected ways. One of these inhabitants is Steve, a depressed nurse at a psychiatric hospital, who is obsessed with Dante's epic poem Inferno. He spends his nights scrawling lines and verses from the poem on the city's walls and footpaths. One dark night Steve acts as our guide, leading us through the city, introducing us to those whose lives have been affected by the flash. A journey through his own personal inferno.
