THE WARMING

Set in the near future. The play deals with a world pressed to take action against the ever more apparent threats of the enhanced greenhouse effect. Solutions are complicated by the demands of industry, the cynical manipulations of public servants and the compromises of politicians. When the idealistic Director of Tasmania's Department of Science and Technology decides to take on these forces and fight for the greenhouse policy he believes in, he and his family are caught in the political and social flack.
