Sarah Brill

Sarah began writing at the age of 15 participating in four National Young Playwrights Workshops and two WA Young Playwrights Workshops. In 1994 she attended the National Playwrights Conference with her play Who the Fuck is Erica Price which was later produced as part of Artrage, the WA fringe festival, and recently read by Griffin Theatre Company. As a member of the West Australian Writers Laboratory in 1995 and 1996, Sarah wrote Fashion Tips For the Young and Beautiful and BORED. Fashion Tips for the Young and Beautiful has been developed through playworks and, in 1997, through an emerging artists fellowship from ArtsWA. BORED was adapted and produced for Radio National in 1997. In May 1998 Sarah worked as a writer with Salamanca Theatre Company on Reality Check, a theatre piece which examines the structures and stereotypes of various mass media genres. Sarah is now working on the second draft of Real, a play about real estate agents.
