Patrick Carr's plays include 'Prima Donna' (shortlisted for QTC/Courier Mail George Landen Dann Award), 'A Kiss in Time' (Tropic Line Theatre and winner of 'New Plays for QLD'), 'Batavia' (Judith Wright Centre, Brisbane 2005) and 'Lexie Turns to Stone' (Judith Wright Centre, 2007). In 2006 he was shortlisted for the Premier's Literary Awards for 'Batavia', which won the 2007 John and Libby Fairfax Award. He's been involved with Tropic Line Theatre in Townsville, with QTC's Studio, and is a founding member of MAP Theatre Co (Brisbane). Before he started writing seriously, Patrick established The Performing Arts Bookshop in Sydney.
