Anne Harris's plays have been seen at the Joseph Papp Public Theatre, Primary Stages, New York Theatre Workshop and Soho Rep in New York, and regionally in the US. Her play A Dyke Is Not a Dam was given a workshop production at Vitalstatistix Theatre in Adelaide, November 1997, and two short pieces have been seen at Mardi Gras 2000 and 2001. Her screenplays include Birdgirl and The Incredibly True Adventures Of Two Girls in Love (rewrite). She was co-founder and artistic director of LEND Theatre Company in New York from 1993 -- 1997 and is currently director of the Central Australian Young Playwrights' Festival. Her awards include the Legacy Foundation Uncommon Women Award, the Jerome Fellow, the Julliard Fellow, the Deep South Writers' Conference, the Harry Kondoleon Playwriting Award.
