Diana Plater is a writer, journalist and consultant, based in Sydney. She is the co-author with Ollie Smith of Raging Partners; Two Worlds, One Friendship (Magabala Books 2000), which was shortlisted for the Community Relations Commission Award of the 2001 NSW Premier's Literary Awards. She has written a number of other books and was recently commissioned to write for an official oral history of the stolen generations -- the Bringing Them Home project -- to be published in 2002 by the National Library. As a journalist, she has covered conflicts from Nicaragua to Washington and art stories from Sydney to New York as well as being a producer, a trainer and a university lecturer and tutor. She is presently the Australian correspondent for WIN -- an international Internet magazine for women -- and writes for magazines and newspapers in Australia and overseas. She runs her own media consultancy business, Diana Plater Media.
