Adam Grossetti


Adam Grossetti has worked as a writer across multiple story telling platforms including film, television, radio, web and theatre. Theatre credits include: Urban Stages, New York: Hirst in Tribeca and Dead Men Drinking at the Bucket of Blood. Queensland Theatre Company: The August Moon and Mano Nera, Tasmanian Theatre Company, Sex, death & fly-fishing, Sydney Theatre Company/Wharf2Loud, 3606202, Belvoir St Theatre’s BSharp, Lost Lagoon. His plays Dogs and Pitchfork were staged in the inaugural season at The Old Fitzroy Hotel. For television he has worked in story development with McElroy All Media/Network Nine, The Seven Network, Southern Star, Essential Media and Matchbox Pictures. Commissioned by Cate Blanchett & Sydney Theatre Company he adapted the Pirandello play Vestire gli inudi as Naked. Radio scripts: Dogs and Hotel were produced for ABC Radio National Airplay. In film he was commissioned by renowned film Producer David Elfick/Palm Beach Pictures, (Newsfront, Rabbit Proof Fence), to write the screenplay Three and his play Mano Nera was optioned by New Holland Pictures. He has written and produced several radio documentaries for ABC Radio National programs Life Matters, The History Listen and Earshot including The Black Hand Gang Parts 1 & 2, The Air of Heaven, Sinkers, Stinkers and Sharks and Enemy Alien. He co-created and wrote the multi award winning web series Low Life. As of 2018 he has been working closely with WildBear Entertainment developing the episodic documentary The Black Hand Gang based on over a decade of intensive research and collected interviews. Again for WildBear Entertainment & NTV (Germany) he wrote the 4 x 1 hr television documentary series Future Warfare.

He holds a Bachelor of Arts (Drama) and Master of Arts (Research) from the Queensland University of Technology and is the recipient of The Queensland Premiers Award for Drama & The Philip Parsons Playwrights Award, Best Short at the Brisbane International Film Festival, 3rd Place Web Series World Cup, UK Web Fest Best International Web Series, Buenos Aires Web Fest, (best writer/web series), Bilbao Web Fest Best Drama, Marseille Web Fest Prix Coup de Coeur for Low Life (web series).
