Wayne Blair is an award winning writer and director for both film and theatre.

His theatre credits include; as Director: Unspoken by Rebecca Clarke (Old Fitzroy Theatre, 2005 & Perfoming Lines national tour 2006), Njunjul the Sun Adapted from the novel by Meme McDonald and Boori Monty Pryor (Kooemba Djarra Theatre Company, 2006), The Seven Stages of Grieving by Wesley Enoch and Deborah Mailman (Sydney Theatre Company Eduction, 2006), Jesus Hopped the ‘A’ Train by Stephen Adly Guirgis (Company B, 2007), Ruben Guthrie by Brendan Coewell (Company B, 2008 & 2009), Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare (Sydney Theatre Company, Education Program, 2008), The Removalists by David Williamson (Sydney Theatre Company, 2009), Namatjira by Scott Rankin (Co-directed with Scott Rankin, Company B, 2010), Dirty Butterfly by Debbie Tucker Green (Company B, 2010), Walking into the Bigness by Richard Frankland (Malthouse, 2014). As assistant director: Scorched by Waidi Mouawad, translated by Linda Gaboriau (Directed by Neil Armfield, Company B, 2008).
