Eliza is a graduate of the 2014 class of Actors from the Flinders Drama Centre and has studied screenwriting and playwriting at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts.
Eliza’s theatre credits to date include; Pre’s, 1800-Love-Me (Bondi feast) Deluge (Tiny Bricks/Brink) for the Adelaide Festival of the Arts, Late: A Cowboy Song (Ladylike Theatre with Sydney Fringe/Adelaide Fringe). For Flinders: Arden v Arden, The Three Sisters, Trojan Barbie, Roulette, The Caucasian Chalk Circle and The Shape of Things. Since graduating she has written and appeared in several short films in New York and Australia.
Eliza is a founding member of Ladylike Theatre Collective, a small company focused on inclusive storytelling with an intersectional feminist lens. Eliza is the 2018 writer in residence as the Old 505 Theatre. Last year Eliza worked with Belvoir as their Resident Playwright in the inaugural writer’s workshop. In 2016 she attended the National Studio in Bundanon and was mentored by Jenni Medway to write two plays with ATYP. Eliza’s play Testosterone was produced in early 2018 by Flinders University and Ladylike Theatre Collective. In 2017 she was shortlisted for the New Plot and the Phillip Parson’s fellowship. Additionally, Eliza writes for ATYP’s theatre-makers ensemble.
In 2014 Eliza was awarded the Dame Ruby Litchfield Scholarship for Performing Arts
