Natalie Nunan is a Brisbane based writer, teacher and director.
Natalie was offered an Arts grant from the Queensland Aids Council, which funded the independent theatre production of, Insatiable Urge, a three ringer, which showcased her original plays- 327, Left the balcony and Passing Wind at Metro Arts, Brisbane, Queensland, in 2011.
Natalie received a highly commended for her short play, Passing Wind from the Queensland Theatre Company’s Young Playwright Premiere Award, in 2011, and her play Left the balcony was shortlisted in the Short and Sweet Festival in 2011.
In 2012, the Horse and Duke creative team began the development of the tragicomedy, short film, Passing Wind to be entered into the shorts for the Queensland, Queer Film Festival, Brisbane.
Natalie has been a drama teacher in Queensland for thirteen years. Writing, directing and producing several original musicals, including, Brent Street (2013) and The Scarlet Emerald (2015).
In 2016, Natalie wrote, directed and produced, Russo’s Run, a cinematic live theatre production, that premiered at Metro Arts in a sell-out season run.
In 2019, Natalie was commissioned by St Aidan's Anglican Girls' School. An Independent School in Brisbane, Queensland, to write the play, Never Never Alone to be performed at the school later in the year.
