Maysa Abouzeid

Maysa Abouzeid has been performing comic and dramatic monologue for the last ten years. She gigs on Outer Urban Projects Urban Events social enterprise and free lances as a solo performer. Maysa’s credits include the New York Arab-American Comedy Festival 2004, It’s a Blind Chick Thing documentary 2007, Northern Tracks with A.R.A.B Melbourne Festival 2010, Slut with Platform Youth Theatre in 2008, Best with Contact Theatre 2013, and Me, Myself & I 2014, St Martin Youth theatre Company Hatch Festival 2011, her production of Nest in the Melbourne Fringe Festival 2012 under the Jump Arts Mentorship program, Maysa’s performance work riffs on her experiences of being a legally blind northern suburbs Melbourne woman from an eclectic Australian, Italian, Egyptian Muslim background.
Current projects include writing and performing for Feminist Methodology Sound Conference (FMX) with Liquid Architecture and Less with Vessel Arts Company and Channel 31 Disability Comedy What’s Wrong with U?.
