Flynn Hall is a Brisbane-based director and writer. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Drama) from the Queensland University of Technology (QUT), and First Class Honours for her research investigating the craft of female directorship. While studying, Flynn worked as an assistant director on multiple QUT Acting productions and Queensland Music Festival’s Under This Sky (2015). Most recently, Flynn assisted on Queensland Theatre’s production of Good Grief (2018) for The Scene Project. As a writer, Flynn has contributed to The Good Room’s public art exhibition These Frozen Moments, presented with Brisbane City Council (2017) and FLOWSTATE (2018). Her original work, The Corner of Carlow Street (2015), co-written and created with The Sauce, was awarded ‘Best-In-Show’ in its premiere season at QUT. Intersection: Arrival (ATYP), marks Flynn’s first solo venture as a playwright. In 2019, Flynn will relocate to Sydney to undertake a Master of Fine Arts (Directing) at NIDA.
