The Manifest is a totally non-verbal play. It tells the story of a bus trip around Australia. The ‘Manifest’ is the passenger list, but also relates to the theme of ‘seeing beyond that which is purely visible, or plain. The characters are eccentric and feature a Japanese tourist, Mr. Zen; an old couple named Mog and Pog; Anne Skank – a ‘bogan’ and New Age devotee; a young couple in love and various others. Interwoven through the story is the tale of a drover and his wife who are looking for their lost child. The Manifest has been performed as a school play and featured a live orchestra.
