Sunrise-Sunset is a play that focuses on ageing. It is set in a group of 4 flats in St Kilda, Melbourne in the 1980s. The occupants in the flat include Celeste (87) who has dementia and Celeste’s friend of many years, Mannie (80s). Living next door is a young, newly married couple whose nephew comes to stay with them while his parents sort out their marital problems. The play has been performed and studied across Australia by professional theatre and Theatre for Young People companies, schools, youth theatres and community groups. It is suitable for performances as a school play.
