'El Dondio and His Amazing Time Machine' is set in present day Mexico and in the year 3000 AD. Our hero, a young man called El Dondio, likes to tinker with old motor bikes. For a bit of fun he builds a time machine, but aliens arrive and make it work. They need his help to defeat an evil cyborg dictator in the distant future. El Dondio agrees to help them but, by mistake, his widowed mother, an uncle and a donkey go forward in time with him. Unfortunately the time machine alters how they arrive and things in his Mexican family are never quite the same again.
In the far distant future, where the world is run by the Social Safety Police and the only trees are kept in tree zoos, El Dondio meets Ellie, daughter of a murdered rebel leader. After much adventure, the evil dictator is vanquished and everything ends happily.
'El Dondio and His Amazing Time Machine' is a science fiction pantomime combining futuristic concepts within the traditional framework of English pantomime. It is a rollicking show, suitable for all ages, containing plenty of side skits, time machines, aliens, cyborgs, computers, laser weapons and wacky robots.
